Been a good month for the garden, a few Bramblings have shown up, including at least two fine males.
A male Blackcap is regular on the feeders and has been singing! A female has popped in on a few short moments too. I think its only the second time 2 have been around in January.
Also a Mistle Thrush dropped in for about 2 minutes (the first for about 10 years I think!). Mistle has always been my rarest thrush here rather strangely.
Bit of Artwork of Mistle Thrush.
Also visiting are Goldcrest, a number of Chaffinch, 10+ Goldfinch 8 Greenfinch and 8+ Blackbirds. A Song Thrush also was around for an afternoon, sadly scarce here now after breeding for years…..
