10th July 2015

A lazy afternoon in the sun in the garden, resulted in 4 new butterfly species for the year being seen, Meadow Brown (2), Red Admiral (1), Ringlet (1) (only second ever for garden) and Large Skipper (1). The Large Skipper was a common resident years ago, but has got very rare here now since the housing estate behind us was built 20 years ago so this one, the first for a long while was a welcome visitor.
