Attenborough NR 27th April 2015

A quick visit in the afternoon produced views of the snoozing adult Night Heron. It did wake up twice very briefly but mostly just roosted in a willow with its head tucked away….

Still the reserve was full of singing warblers, including Cetti’s, Sedge, Red, Blackcap and once a reeling Grasshopper Warbler, plus Bittern was booming away behind us.
