17th March. Cromford Canal.

An afternoon walk along Cromford Canal produced our first views of Water Vole for a while. We were able to watch the cute chap for well over 15 minutes!

Also on the Canal were our first Chiffchaffs of the year and the English Daffodils were well out if a bit distant off the towpath. A couple of Goosanders were just up river from the aquaduct.

As we left we saw a Dipper on a rock in the Derwent, a place I have seen one many times before.
